Making tax digital: How your agency can prepare for this change
Featuring:
CEO at Goodlord
Senior Partner at Dutton Gregory Solicitors
Overview
The latest tax figures show the majority of businesses find it hard to get their tax right - the tax gap stands at 5.1% or £32 billion of missing tax payments in 2020 to 2021. Making Tax Digital is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to manage their tax obligations and keep on top of their affairs.
From 1 November, VAT-registered businesses will only be able to use MTD compatible software for their VAT returns, and there are changes to come for income and corporation tax. Robert Bolwell will discuss how to avoid making errors in tax reporting and how your agency and landlords can prepare for the changes.
We'll cover:
- The Government's new regulations in 2024
- How digital tax may impact your agency
- How digital tax may impact your landlords
- The use of making tax digital software (MTD)
- Live Q&A
