Renters (Reform) Bill: What you need to know to get student let management right
Featuring:
Director of Insurance at Goodlord
Head of Redress at the Property Redress Scheme
Founder and Managing Director at Zest Property
Overview
As outlined in the parliamentary session in May, there are proposed plans under the Renters (Reform) Bill that will affect many parts of the private rental sector - student lets included.
Most tenancies will shift to Assured Tenancies, or periodic, rolling contracts. As it stands, this would mean student tenants have the right to remain in their private, HMO accommodation at the end of their fixed-term - usually the end of the academic year.
Join our experts Glen Perry, Founder and Managing Director at Zest Property, Oli Sherlock, Director of Insurance at Goodlord, Sean Hooker, Head of Redress at the Property Redress Scheme, to find out how your agency can continue to thrive with the new changes in legislation.
We'll cover:
- The end of section 21 and changes to section 8
- Remaining legally compliant and fair to students
- Housing shortages for new students
- Live Q&A
