You can send GDPR-friendly reports with the results of your tenant reference check with your landlords. If you opt for a Pro or Priority reference, you’ll be able to send referencing reports to your landlords to sign off.

Tenant referencing is the process of checking the potential suitability of an applicant for a landlord's property.
The process involves checking their ID, their credit, their residential history, and their income and affordability.
Goodlord uses open banking through a leading provider, Tink, to get your references back quickly and securely.
If your applicant chooses to connect their online bank accounts using open banking, we will be able to see their recurring income and rent payments to get them assessed as fast as possible.
For a fast turnaround, we strongly recommend that you encourage your applicants to use open banking - as in 25% of cases it will help to instantly process a reference.
Goodlord Referencing uses an AI solution to create an online identity verification experience for your tenants, to speed up the referencing process for you.
The technology matches the photo in the identity documents to facial biometrics in the selfie requested, to validate the documents quickly and efficiently.
You’ll understandably want to keep your landlords updated on the referencing recommendation made by Goodlord on potential tenants.
For each referencing recommendation, you can download a report for you to supply to landlords, with a breakdown of the recommendation made, without breaching any GDPR requirements.
With a Pro or Priority reference, you’ll also be able to send your referencing reports to your landlords to sign off.
Your referencing reports will include one of our referencing recommendations: pass, conditional pass, or fail.
You can choose our Essential tier for your student applicants, as this simply does a credit and ID check, allowing you to quickly pass their reference and request a guarantor.
Any guarantors will then follow a similar referencing journey to the tenants, on the Goodlord platform.
Goodlord offers different insurance services, which are all linked to Goodlord’s referencing criteria, making it easy for you to offer these services to your landlords and tenants.
